Our fan and rock paddler Jura Hanák set out with a group of five friends on GUMOTEX boats on an adventurous expedition to the White Sea in the Russian Arctic. How did it turn out?

Never give up. That's the motto of Ukrainian swimmer Mariya Krestyanske, who on August 8 was set to become the first Ukrainian woman to swim the English Channel. Her attempt failed due to adverse conditions. She fought bravely and did not give up, coming out of the water only after repeated recommendations from the team. GUMOTEX wants to continue to support her.

Where the silence is the loudest, far beyond the Arctic Circle, and above all far from a signal, a warm shower and a soft bed, we set out to float the Alatna River. Under our map it said, "No roads or trails in this area". We were equipped with boats, food in bear-proof containers and pepper spray. The plan was to cross the continental divide and sail 300 km south to the Arctic Circle.

It was our second time in Norway. Last year we rode mountain bikes through this Scandinavian beauty. Now it was the turn of the inflatable boat Pálava from GUMOTEX. Thanks to the canoe we found ourselves in places we never dreamed of.
